About the event
This webinar will provide an in-depth look at the recognition and management of common cardiac conditions in cats and dogs, with a focus on the vital role of veterinary nurses. We will begin by exploring auscultation techniques, including how to identify and interpret heart murmurs and what these findings may indicate.
The session will then highlight the most frequently encountered heart diseases in small animals, such as myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD), dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), outlining key clinical features and diagnostic considerations.
Finally, we will discuss essential nursing considerations for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), covering monitoring, medication administration, oxygen therapy, nutrition, and client communication to optimise patient outcomes and support long-term management.
This session will be recorded and sent to all delegates within 24 hours of the event ending, so do not worry if you cannot make the live session.
